Petition calls for compulsory financial education

Personal finance expert Martin Lewis has teamed up with parenting site Mumsnet to start a petition calling for the new government to ensure that financial education becomes a compulsory part of the curriculum. Finance was due to become part of PSHE from September 2011, but was dropped from the Children, Schools and Families Bill when the legislation was pushed through ahead of the dissolution of parliament.
